This vase has a Cone 10 blue glaze and a Cone 6 crystal glaze with overlap and was fired to Cone 9 with a crystal ramp. The blending at the top produced a complex pearl-like result. Because the crystal glaze was fired hotter than usual, the crystals migrated to the bottom, however the top is charming enough to sacrifice some crystals.
